Advertising Policy
The Alpaca Fiber Cooperative of North America, Inc. (AFCNA) makes space available on its members' website (www.afcna.com) for advertising of Qualified Merchandise and Services subject to the following policies.
- Qualified Merchandise is equipment and products of use in the alpaca fiber production process and the sale, use and care of alpaca fiber products. Examples include, but are not limited to: shearing equipment, livestock handling equipment, general farm equipment and materials, packing and shipping supplies, farm related software and/or computer products, fiber handling equipment, feeds, feed supplements, veterinary supplies, merchandising supplies and equipment, and alpaca fiber product care products.
- Qualified Services are limited to duties or work performed for hire that are of interest to alpaca fiber producers. Examples include, but are not limited to: shearing, accounting, insurance, consulting, legal advice and education.
- The AFCNA will not accept advertising whose primary purpose is associated with the breeding, sales or promotion of livestock of livestock producer advertisers or is associated with the manufacture of alpaca fiber products. AFCNA reserves the right to not accept advertising (for any or no reason) in its sole discretion and to accept advertising from time-to-time outside the definition of Qualified Merchandise and Services in its sole discretion.
- Advertising will be limited to a graphic banner measuring 120 by 240 pixels. The graphic may be in .jpeg (jpg), .gif or .png image format. Animated gif images are allowable. No advertisement using sound will be accepted.
- Advertising graphic images are subject to approval by the www.afcna.com webmaster. Ad images deemed by the www.afcna.com webmaster as being overly intrusive on, or disruptive towards, the www.afcna.com users' experience will not be approved. Determination of the acceptability of any ad will be at the sole discretion of the www.afcna.com webmaster.
- Advertisers will be responsible for the generation of their advertising materials, and supplying it to the www.afcna.com webmaster in .jpeg, .gif or .png format.
- Advertising rate schedules will be determined by the AFCNA Board of Directors. Advertising fees will be based on a per banner ad basis. Advertisers will be eligible to purchase multiple banner ads.
- Advertising on the AFCNA members' website is offered on a "pre-paid" basis for a predetermined period of time. As such, there is no guarantee in regards to the number of page views or ad impressions that will be delivered.
- Upon request, the www.afcna.com webmaster will provide advertisers statistics related to the overall AFCNA member's website visitor and page view data, and/or actual number of ad impressions delivered for the advertiser making such request.
- Ad placement will appear on each page of the www.afcna.com website, and will be located "above the fold". This means that ads will be visible to visitors using a viewing device of no less than 800 by 600 pixel resolution without the need to scroll the viewable window. Actual placement within this viewing area will be subject to change by and at the sole discretion of the www.afcna.com webmaster.
- One ad will be displayed on a rotating basis, selected randomly from all advertisers, on each page view.
- Ads may be imbedded in a hypertext markup link that will direct the visitor to the advertiser's website.
- Ads will be clearly identified as advertisements. Visitors will have the opportunity to view a page on the www.afcna.com website explaining the site's advertising policies and procedures.
- AFCNA accepts no responsibility for any disputes arising between advertisers and users of the www.afcna.com website. AFCNA does not endorse and is not responsible for any products or services advertised on the www.afcna.com website.
- AFCNA will not provide preferential treatment to any individual advertiser in terms of ad placement or frequency of delivery of ad impressions.
- AFCNA may reserve the use of one banner advertisement to promote its www.afcna.com ad program.
- These policies are subject to change, without prior notice, at any time and at the sole discretion of the AFCNA Board of Directors.
- By requesting and paying for placement of banner ad(s) on AFCNA's website, advertiser: (i) warrants to AFCNA that the products mentioned in the banner ad(s) comply with all U.S. labeling laws, and (ii) agrees to indemnify AFCNA and its directors, officers, employees and agents for and hold them harmless from all expenses (including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees), damages and claims arising in any way out of the product(s) mentioned in the banner ad(s) including, but not limited to, the design, manufacture, sale, advertising, labeling, use, delivery, advertisement, patent infringement, copyright infringement or trademark infringement of such products.
Fee Schedule
The AFCNA Board of Directors has established the following fee schedule for banner advertisements on the AFCNA members' website
- One 120 by 240 pixel banner ad displayed, consistent with the above policies, for a 12 month period of time - $600
- One 120 by 240 pixel banner ad displayed, consistent with the above policies, for a 6 month period of time - $350
- Multiple banner ads per advertiser - 5% discount on above rates per banner to a maximum of 20%. (e.g. 2 banner ads for 12 months = $1,140, 3 banner ads for 12 months = $1,620, 4 banner ads for 12 months = $2.040, etc.)
