Collection Site Coordinator

Combining nationwide efforts such as regional collection sites provides a convenience to our existing and new members of the national coop (AFCNA).    We know that shipping has been a deciding factor for many when deciding when and whether to submit fleece to the coop.  Thank you for helping us address this problem.  Over the past year, we've more than doubled our collection sites and aim to do that again in 2011.  If you want to be an active part of our growth, become a collection site.
Qualifications:

• Availability of pallets (2-3 needed/shipment)
• Ability to weigh each pallet
• Twine or plastic wrap for securing boxed fiber to the pallet
• If preferred, bagged fiber can be packed in one pallet size recycling box (found at local recycling centers) and secured to the pallet
• A clean safe, parasite-free area for fleece storage
• If possible, a bobcat or tractor to load the pallets onto a semi trailer. If necessary, we can request that the semi trailer provide a pallet loader but it costs us much more for this service.
• Network to your local breeders, shows, and/or affiliates to be able to acquire over 500 pounds/shipment
