We first learned of alpacas in 1998 while looking through a magazine. We just loved the LOOK of the animals. After a couple of years of research we began an alpaca farm near Seattle. Our farm has been very successful in its own right, producing multiple-award winning prize alpacas. We are very active in the animal side of the alpaca industry as well as products.
Soon after starting the farm we opened a small farm store showcasing alpaca products to our many visitors.
Our first retail web store was opened in 2002. The demand for quality alpaca products was much higher than anticipated! In 2004 we launched the online alpaca products resource, PurelyAlpaca.com. The new online store offers new features, customer services and more products.
With new designers and manufactures getting into this exciting industry, the alpaca clothing industry is evolving rapidly. At PurelyAlpaca we will continue to show the latest interesting products from this exquisite naturally unique fiber.
