Ever wonder how cooperatives got started?


In 1844 the Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers was created by 28 Lancashire weavers. Influenced by the theories of Robert Owen, they opened a grocery store that was so successful that they were able to establish a cooperative factory and textile mill.

Rotational Grazing


One of the easiest and most effective steps that can be taken to improve the economic efficiency of an alpaca farm (or any livestock operation) is to institute a program of rotational grazing. The forage growing in our pastures is the most nutritious and lowest cost feed we can provide our animals.

What is a Conopa?


Conopas are small, carved stone objects found in the lands of the Inca. Carved of stone, they are amulets believed to have the ability to bring good luck and prosperity. Often in the shape of alpacas or llamas, they have a hole in their back for offerings of coca leaves, wine and llama fat.
