INTRODUCTION

This Clip Care Manual is the alpaca fleece handling protocol for the Alpaca Fiber Cooperative of North America, Inc. (AFCNA). This Manual has been prepared by the AFCNA to create a self regulatory approach to the preparation and measurement of alpaca fiber. This Manual provides guidance, recommendations, and directions to members regarding contribution of fiber to the AFCNA.

"Skirting a Fleece for Processing" is a Power Point Presentation developed for members' self-training in skirting and pre-sorting their clip prior to sending to AFCNA for processing. It is available on the AFCNA members website at www.afcna.com. Members are welcome to use the training presentation in their endeavors on behalf of the AFCNA.
