Your Board of Directors has issued the 2007 Call for Clip. Please note changes for this year.

Summary of major changes since the 2006 clip call:

• Expanded clip collection period to 10 months
• But the deadline is firm, no extensions
• New Simplified clip submission form doubles as grading record sheet
• Member fills out Name and AFCNA number (gray cells on form)
• Eliminates 2 old forms; Transport Form and Transport Summary
• Grader fills out remainder and forwards to AFCNA for data entry
• Simplified requirements for carton labeling
• New Label for Shipping
• AFCNA member number, Clip year (2007) being submitted, Box number
• Simplified instructions for skirting & clip submission
  • Terrible Too's (No Commercial Value)
  • Detailed Clip Care Manual and skirting instructions are still available
• Eliminated Quality Factors
  • Eliminated minimum percent contribution in 2006
  • Developing products from all commercially useful grades of fiber
• Eliminated Receipt Acknowledgement Postcards
  • Members are encouraged to use carrier tracking to obtain delivery confirmation
  • AFCNA has arranged with UPS to allow members use our corporate freight rate. Please contact the AFCNA office and ask for Campus Ship

We appreciate your continued patience as we develop new fiber products that move us toward profitability. AFCNA has developed a domestic processing pipeline for your fiber and is marketing several successful products. The North American Alpaca Initiative is on course. Your Board of Directors is committed to processing and marketing your fiber and generating profit to distribute to you.

WE NEED YOUR 2007 FIBER CLIP SUPPORT. Please submit as much of your finer grades and clean fleeces as possible. We cannot do our best for you if you send us your worst.
