Your Board of Directors has issued the 2008 Call for Clip. The collection period is from June 1, 2008 through October 31, 2008. 20,000 pounds of fiber was collected in the 2007 clip year. This year's goal is to collect more than 40,000 pounds of fiber!
Please be a part of this record setting collection goal by sending in your fiber. AFCNA is working to bring out new products from more grades and colors and to increase production of our popular socks and knitting yarns - all made here in North America from your fiber.
To help achieve this collection goal, your Board is pleased to continue the special freight offer which was introduced in 2007 for a limited time.
- Shipments of 200-499 pounds of fiber - AFCNA will pay 1/2 the shipping charges
- Shipments of 500 pounds or more of fiber - AFCNA will pay 100% of freight charges
- All subsidized freight payments must be prearranged through the office. Please call Tammy to make arrangements.
With the success last year of our Regional Clip Collection we are looking to expand the program for 2008. As part of the cip collection effort this year, we are looking for the help of a few good members! To make it work we need Regional Clip Collection Coordinators. What does a Region Clip Coordinator do? They make it known to AFCNA members in their area that AFCNA is collecting fiber. THey encourage everyone to take advantage of the free or reduced price shipping offered by AFCNA. They collect the fiber and coordiante with the AFCNA Staff to ship the fiber to our collection facility. Regional Clip Collection Coordinators have their contact information listed on the AFCNA website. The AFCNA Staff and Board of Directors will help you to be successful in any way they can.
Please do your part to expand this very successful program and help make AFCNA work better for everyone. For more information about helping with Regional Clip Collection, please contact Greg Schneider .
