 Member/Shareholder - An AFCNA member is a shareholder who has met the requirements of membership outlined in AFCNA's bylaws, purchased their stock certificate, and obtained a member farm number. Member purchases are discounted 50% off retail prices. In order to see the member discount price while shopping on America's Alpaca, members must "log in" to their account from the commerce site home page. Members may also choose to phone their order in to our office. Please identify yourself as a member.

Member discounts are available to members as long as they have contributed fiber in the past 3 years. For example, to receive your member discount on purchases in 2011, you should have submitted fiber at least once in 2008, 2009, or 2010.  There is no minimum fiber amount requirement.

If no fiber has been contributed by a member in the past 3 years, the member discount will be reduced to 40% off retail. In order to reinstate the full discount, a member can simply submit fiber. The 10% difference will be refunded if fiber is submitted within 6 weeks of placing an order.

 Wholesale - A wholesale customer typically purchases several large quantities of product throughout the year, and is not an alpaca farmer. This customer receives 40% off retail prices.

The annual first order minimum is $1,000. Thereafter, each order minimum is $250.  A non-refundable deposit of 50% applies to each wholesale order.

In order to see the wholesale discount pricing while shopping on America's Alpaca, the customer must "log in" to their account from the commerce site home page. A wholesale customer may choose to phone their order in to our office. Please identify yourself as a wholesale customer.

A wholesale customer is not a member, or shareholder, of AFCNA and does not qualify to vote in AFCNA elections.

Sales generated from America's Alpaca not only allow the cooperative to function as a business, but more importantly contributes to profit which is distributed to its active shareholding members during profitable years.
AFCNA encourages all its shareholding members to maintain an active status by regular fiber submissions.  Find current clip call information on www.afcna.com. Active participation results in the best product discount for members and an ongoing supply of fiber for product development by AFCNA.
